often. The book covered cichlids from African and understandably has to
broad brush some of the information. Notwithstanding, the information should
be adequate for a beginner. The author also provides some aquascaping
and comparison chart for keeping different types of cichlids.
Dr. Paul V. Loiselle is after all, a "who's who" in world of
cichlid aquarists."

provides information on fresh water and marine fishes. The black and white
pictures can be a turn-off but this is mitigated with the informative
articles and relatively cheaper subscription rates.

One of the
magazine that I really enjoyed with informative articles and beautiful
pictures of both fresh water and marine aquarium/fishes. Features and
reviews the latest equipment, filters, lightings & fish food etc.
Recommended for the enthusiastic hobbyists. Subscription rate is slightly
higher due the higher quality paper and pictures.

specialised on information pertaining cichlids. Can be quite heavy for
reading. New discoveries are feature in each publication (quarterly). For
the serious hobbylists.
