Diet :  Herbivorous diet primarily made up of aufwuchs, which is a type of green algae. Feed them vegetable flakes and occasionally blench vegetables such as spinach and cucumber.  Breeding : Mouth brooders. Fries are released within 28 to 30 days.  Sexual Difference :  Males are normally bigger but difficult to differentiate.    Profile of South America Cichlids A. The young Tropheus is black with white polka dots that eventually give way to either a white of yellow bar (depending on the variant vertically down the front of the fish.
