I tried various
types of food for my cichlids and settle for 1 staple with another
1-2 type of fish food to provide some variation and supplements to
my fish with the occasional live foods.
Periodically, I will
introduce new type of food especially when some food manufacturer
offer their food for review.
Fish foods comes in many
types with various properties. It would be good to observe how
the fish react to these fish (after all, they are eating the food),
any effects on their colours, behavior and the cost to conclude on
the right type of food for the fishes. Read

It has a high content of carotene-rich spirulina algae that
enhances the colours of herbivorous cichlids.
