Description
Best to keep them in a tall aquarium of at least 20 inch in height
due to their oval shaped body. Breeding is quite easy once the
pairing is done. Males are generally bigger with longer
finnage but best way to obtain a pair i to grow 6 or more fishes
from young and let them paired-off. The rest should be
removed.
As many as
300-400 eggs can be laid in each spawn. These should hatched after 3
days. the fires may be moved by the parents from places to places.
Heros Notatus
are very
good parents and provide excellent parental care to their brood.
Tank mates
should be confined to larger cichlids that shared
the same water condition, ie from south America.
