A tall aquarium is best suited due to their oval shaped size. Aquarium can be decorated with driftwood, roots and stones. A vegetarian diet will bring out their colours and encourage spawning. |

Triangle Cichlid or Poor man's Discus (Uaru Amphiacanthoides)
Rather peaceful fish except during spawning. In the wild, these fish are found in tea-coloured water where there are abundance decaying vegetation. A high aquarium tank will benefit these fish better due to their oval shaped body. Uraus are very good parents and provide excellent parental care to their brood. |

An all time favourites, the green terror has a reputation that precedes itself. ALthough quite aggressive, it is mild compared to some of the Central American Cichlids. |
